Trend Alert! Be prepared for Spring and Dress Your Little One With Mood Booster Outfits!

Good news everyone, despite a gloomy economy and an extremely cold winter in most part of the US (looks like we are not over yet...), the forecast for Spring is bright and sunny, at least for kids fashion...  Trends for the new season have been announced a few months back already as the world of fashion moves very very fast, but for most moms, shopping for spring/summer 2014 is slowly starting.  Here are a few hints that will help the fashionistas in you pick and choose the right outfits for your little people.

Plenty of yellow, aqua, hot pink, orange, turquoise, splashes of neon and touches of metallic.

Bold graphics, special print fabrics, intricate embroideries, ethnic fabrics, you name it.

Winter is waaaay too long this year... but Spring is coming!

We are in February and I have to say that I am already done with the winter season.  Of course, depending on where you are on this planet, you might not feel this way but here in Europe, we have a "real" winter this year.  Cold temperatures and snow, snow, snow.  Tons of snow! 

Our Chocolatine Boutique little coats have been selling really good since the Fall, as well as our little hats but I have to say that I am ready to start selling the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  "Where is the Spring/Summer 2013 collection for Chocolatine Boutique?"  No worries, it is ready to go but not in the shop just yet...

But, by the way, are you ready for the next season? Do you know what the next season's kids fashion trends are and how your little ones will trot around all next summer? Looking at the wide spectrum of current kids designers, my tips are as follow: lots of yellow tones, bright neon pink, green and orange set against soft pastels, and don't forget metallics and glitter for shoes!!!

Prints this year focus mostly on tropical, bold graphic, ditsy flowers, plaids, gingham and stripes as well as the ever-popular Liberty of London prints (I am in my happy place here)

What about the fabrics themselves? Brocade fabrics rub shoulders with less noble, but just as fun, fabrics such as metallic nettings, soft cottons and metallic rayons.

Last but not least, detail is as important as ever, but this season, it focuses on the neck with lovely Peter Pan collars, big and skinny bows and classic square necklines.
