The Art of the Brick
The Art of the Brick is the exhibit
we saw yesterday at the Brussels former Stock Exchange. I have to admit that I agree with CNN who said that it is One of the "Top 10 Must See Global Exhibitions."
Both my girls aged 4 and 8 years old enjoyed it very much, especially because they could relate in a lot of ways and mostly because the 70 impressive objects displayed were created with hundred of thousands of LEGO® building blocks!
Other works are completely new creations from the artist’s imagination : a female swimmer, a man opening his chest to reveal a treasure of LEGO® bricks.
Overall, an amazing exhibit that leaves young and old visitors speechless...

When Old Books Pop Up!
Hello everyone!
Today I wanted to share the work of an artist I just discovered recently, Thomas Allen. For all the book lovers out there, please check out his beautiful art work inspired by mid-century books and pulp fiction. Allen creates vivid three-dimensional illustrations by using figures cut and folded from old books and placing them in a new display of meaningful interactions.

Beautiful sailor striped cotton jersey shirt from Armor Lux
Also called "La Mariniere" in French, its origin comes from Brittany, France. From Coco Chanel to Brigitte Bardot, the sailor shirt has rocked the fashion world for decades. Everyone in France has at leat one in his or her closet, including little kids (I personally have five). I am selling this one because it is too small for my kids but I can tell you that I bought them new ones. This is everyone's essential must-have! This model is unisex.
A little bit about Armor Lux: The brand was set up in 1938 in Brittany and is known for its traditional nautical styled ‘Breton clothing’ made famous by its blue and white stripes.

Greek Yogurt Blueberry Cookies with a Zzzzing!
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 and 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
1 egg beaten
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
1 tsp of vanilla essence
1 lemon, zested
1 tsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of salt
Have all your utensils and ingredients ready before your start.
Pre-heat your oven at 375 degrees Farenheit for at least 10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, the baking powder and the salt.
In another mixing bowl, combine the sugar, the yogurt, the egg, the lemon juice and the lemon zest, and the vanilla.
Blend the dry mixture (flour, baking powder and salt mix) into the wet mixture. Stir until all the lumps are gone. Once you've reached a smooth mixture, gently fold in the blueberries.
Grease two baking sheets or line them with parchment paper or silicon mats and drop two table spoonfuls of mixture. Make sure you leave enough space between them so they don't "join" during baking.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes. Once the cookies get slightly brown around the edges, you can take them out of the oven and let them cool down on a cooling rack.
Enjoy! You will be amazed at how soft and delicious these cookies are... And did I mention they were healthy and nutritious? My girls love them and take them to school for their afternoon snacks.
If you don't like the zing of the lemon, you can totally remove the lemon zest and the lemon juice from the list and end up with blueberry cookies, just as soft and delicious.
